Letters with marks (Fat-hah)

20 Mar

Fat-hah

It is a small diagonal line placed above a letter and represents a short (a).

This (a) is pronounced as  (a) in (tablet). The word Fat-hah means opening, and refers to the opening of the mouth when producing an (a).
